For registered dietitians
Eating disorder dietitian software your patients will actually use
Pippa is a meal plan and monitoring app built for outpatient eating disorder care. You author the plan and set calorie goals; your patients log meals with a photo and never see a number. Between sessions, automatic check-ins and intake graphs show you how the week really went - so sessions start from what actually happened.
HIPAA-compliant dashboard · Consent before visibility · Patients never see calorie counts
Your workflow in Pippa
01 · Enroll
Each patient signs a consent waiver, captured with a signature and photo, before any of their data is visible to you. Direct messaging unlocks after a HIPAA agreement is signed by both parties.
02 · Author the meal plan
Write the day-to-day plan your patient sees in the app, expressed as foods and portions on their side. Set the daily calorie goal, record height and weight, and customize their progress bar - the numbers stay on your dashboard only.
03 · Monitor between sessions
Automatic daily check-ins verify patients are eating. Review daily calorie and meal-intake graphs and meal-timing patterns, open any entry to see the photo and survey responses, attach clinic notes, and message patients directly.
Built for nutrition counseling in eating disorder recovery
Meal plans as foods, not numbers
The plan you author appears to patients as foods and portions. Calorie targets and intake estimates live only on your HIPAA-compliant dashboard - blinded self-monitoring by design.
Photo logging your patients keep doing
Patients snap a photo, type a few words, or mark a meal skipped. No food databases, no weighing, no calorie math. A cozy companion and gentle rewards keep adherence up where paper logs fail.
Intake and timing you can act on
A custom AI estimates intake from meal photos. Your dashboard shows daily intake against the goal you set, plus what times meals are actually logged - the between-visit pattern data a paper log can’t give you.
Post-meal signals, not just food
Optional check-ins capture fullness, feelings, urges, and coping skills tried, attached to each entry alongside the photo, so you see the eating process, not just the meal.
Notes, safety plans, and messaging
Attach clinic notes to any entry, keep general clinical notes in one place, author safety plans, review PippaChat transcripts, and message patients or announce to your whole caseload.
Consent-first and HIPAA-compliant
Signed consent waiver before visibility, dual-signed HIPAA agreement before messaging, every waiver logged. Patient journals stay on-device; deletion permanently removes their data.
Why blinded calories matter in dietetic practice
Consumer calorie trackers are widely considered contraindicated in eating disorder care: visible numbers fuel the disorder. Yet dietitians still need intake data to guide nutrition rehabilitation. Pippa resolves that tension - patients photograph meals and a custom AI estimates intake behind the scenes, routing estimates only to your dashboard. Modeled on evidence-based treatment principles: regular eating against a structured plan, gentle self-monitoring, and reflection on feelings and urges instead of numbers.

For your adult caseload
In developmentNuro: the same care, built for adults
Pippa is designed for teens and younger clients, and the pet-and-coins framing does not land with a 38-year-old. Nuro is our adult app: the same backend, the same clinician dashboard, and the same consent model, with an interface written for grown-ups. Patients on your caseload can use either one.
Same dashboard, same consent flow
Nuro patients appear in the roster you already use, with the same consent waiver, the same notes, and the same messaging. Nothing new to learn and no second login.
Numbers-free by default, openable by you
Adult patients see no calorie counts, macros or weight unless you turn something on for them, one nutrient at a time, and you can turn it back off. There is no self-serve numeric mode.
Built around regular eating
The patient-facing home is their meal rhythm for the day, not a total. Adherence to a regular eating pattern is what you see first, because it is what you would be working on anyway.
Adult framing throughout
No pet, no coins, no rewards. The tone assumes a working adult with a life that recovery has to fit around, and the coach is a dietitian persona that declines to discuss calories at any tier.
Nuro is still in development and is not open to patients yet. It is a between-session support tool rather than a treatment, and we do not claim it reduces symptoms on its own. We are actively looking for clinicians to consult with on it, so if you work with adults and would give us an hour, we would like to hear from you. See nuro.getpippa.app for how it works and why it shows no numbers by default.
See the dashboard with your caseload in mind
Pippa is free for patients; practice access is set up program-by-program. Onboarding is light: a consent waiver per patient, a co-signed HIPAA agreement, and each patient's plan and goals configured in minutes.
